Hey Mister…

11.01.12

Mister is well on it’s way of becoming a household name synonymous with both streetwear and contemporary menswear greatness. Mister has legitimized it name through strong collaborations, countless amounts of in-house new product development, and most impressively, complete domestic production done in their hometown of San Francisco, CA. We were very fortunate to have met the great crew at Mister early on, and have been proud to introduce the brand to Hawaii. In what we hope to be the first of many, is a special collaborative tee featuring Mister’s custom cut and sew body paired with a pineapple printed sleeve for some island flair.

Mister x Noteworthy Tee

Those who discovered the brand recently, most likely have seen their cut and sew tees which have set the internet on fire! Luckily, we got our hands on a few- but note that they are selling FAST! We have also re-upped on a few of their most popular rings, which I predict will also sell out by week’s end.

That New Ish.

08.31.12

By this time I’m pretty sure anyone familiar with Noteworthy knows that we do pocket tees. In fact, that might be the understatement of the year. Our last 3 drops (Americana, Statehood, and Koi) litterally sold out the day of. E’s been grinding away trying to come up with that new ish, but in the meanwhile, we decided to run back our Animal Skin pack- one of our most popular to date. We will be releasing these tees ONLINE tomorrow and in store on Saturday. Limited run as always, so make sure to pick yours up before we sell out!

Naked and Famous Fall 2012

08.21.12

You tend to meet some characters in the apparel retail industry. There are way too many personalities to name, but once in a great while, you are fortunate to find creative genius. Brandon Svarc and Bahzad Trinos are the two men and driving force behind Naked and Famous, one of the biggest denim powerhouses to hit the scene. “Rare and Raw Japanese Denim”. A simple concept from a not-so-simple brand. Known for their eccentric personas, the pair have found a way to produce denim to reflect their personalities- offbeat, cool, but definitely weird. Although the company has grown exponentially from it’s humble Canadian roots, what I respect the most, is that both Brandon and Bahzad continue to travel and promote their brand hands on. The two have been working alongside each other for such a long time that exchange is almost comical in nature. Facts upon facts about the brand- but more importantly, all raw denim, is presented with such passion and expertise, that you can’t help but not want to buy a pair of glow in the dark jeans once they’ve completed their finely crafted spiel.

Naked and Famous Fall 2012

Double-sided Camo Weird Guy. Lightweight cotton, with a reversed camo printed weft.

Selvedge Chino Weird Guy. 10 oz raw denim available in sand and dark olive.

Pomegranate Weird Guy, 12 oz raw denim dye processed with real pomegranate juice. Dirty Fade Weird Guy, 12 oz raw denim with a brown (opposed to bleached white) core yarn which produces brown fades in worn areas.

FALLing Down.

08.14.12

It’s borderline comical to declare a seasonal change in Hawaii, especially since we have the distinct priveledge of a never-ending Summer. However, we are moving into the Fall months and may be experiencing a dramatic 5 degree change in temperature (wishful thinking) in the weeks to come. In conjunction with the encroaching Winter, we have begun our end of Summer clearance which will be capped off with THE SALE TO END ALL SALES (details will be posted soon)! As we say goodbye to our Summer merchandise, we simultaneously welcome our Fall deliveries!

First up to bat, the gents from Los Angeles, GPPR. Anyone familiar with Noteworthy, is definitely acquainted with GPPR. Part of our brand family from the start, GPPR has proven time and time again that meticulous attention to detail is the main ingredient to any successful brand regardless of the genre. Not only do they deliver amazing clothes consistantly season after season, but they are just an all around great fucking group of guys.

Bespoke delivers their shop logo “Skull and Needles” tee (available in black and white – 3M reflective) along with Lee Maxwell’s hand drawn “Cesar” graphic (available in black and heather). Honolulu City Knights.

07.30.12

You asked for it, so here it is. One of our most popular shirt concepts to date was produced in our first run of tees. The name “Honolulu City Knights” was originally inspired by the famous Hawaiian song of a similar title, “Honolulu City Lights”, by local singer and song writer, Keola Beamer. The concept was flipped to reflect the medieval imagery of our original coat of arms. In this second installment, we decided to flip the concept yet again and offer it as a jersey to reminisce about the Summer past as well as celebrate the return to MLB baseball. The “HCK Tee” is available in white, black, heather, and navy, while the “HCK Raglan” is offered in a navy and white colorway. All shirts are now available in store or on our online shop. As always, limited quantities in each color, so do yourself a favor and grab all of them today!
